What matters most

We use account information to sign you in and learning data to save your progress. We use service providers to operate the product. We do not sell Memorizee account information or use it for targeted advertising. You can request access, correction, or deletion.

1. Scope and accountability

This Policy explains how the operator of aiembed.com handles personal information in Memorizee (the “Service”). For privacy questions or requests, contact info@aiembed.com. The independent operator is the person responsible for Memorizee's privacy program.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, password credential data handled by our authentication system, phone number when you choose phone sign-in, and identifiers from Google, Apple, or Microsoft when you choose those providers.
  • Learning information: selected collection, settings, audio preference, cards introduced, answers rated, review stage, due dates, batch size, and onboarding status.
  • Public and collaboration information: your optional username, display name, username-change and moderation history; shared-set title, description, visibility, cards, creator, and rights confirmation; groups, roles, memberships, invitations, and sets added to a group; referrals, qualification milestones, and promotional-access expiry.
  • Product journey and attribution information: visits, app installation signal, account and content creation, study sessions, day-one and day-seven returns, subscription, invitations, referral and sharing activity; acquisition source, campaign, creator or influencer parameter, country, preferred language, and iOS, Android, or web platform. Before sign-in, a random browser identifier is stored locally and recorded only as a one-way hash.
  • Personal card collections: when you use My cards, the Word file you choose is processed to create a collection private to your account. The uploaded source file is removed after processing; the generated cards, collection details, and learning progress remain until you delete the collection or your account.
  • Technical and security information: session identifiers, browser and device information, IP address, cookies or similar technologies, error details, and security logs.
  • Subscription information: app-store provider, product and language, transaction or purchase-token identifier, subscription status, renewal setting, expiry date, environment, and verification time. Memorizee does not receive or store your full payment-card number from Apple or Google.
  • Communications: information you send when you request support or provide feedback.

3. Why we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create, authenticate, secure, and recover accounts;
  • save progress and synchronize learning between devices;
  • process a Word card bank you submit and deliver the resulting private card collection;
  • deliver card schedules, audio, settings, and requested features;
  • respond to support requests and service communications;
  • detect abuse, troubleshoot errors, and protect users and the Service;
  • understand aggregate product performance and improve the Service; and
  • measure acquisition, onboarding, retention, sharing, referrals, and free-to-paid conversion without selling the information or using it for targeted advertising;
  • meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

4. Consent and other lawful authority

We seek meaningful consent for collection, use, and disclosure that requires consent. Some processing is necessary to provide the account and features you request, protect the Service, or meet legal obligations. You may withdraw consent where applicable, but doing so can prevent us from providing features that require the information.

5. When information is shared

We disclose information only as reasonably needed to operate the Service, including to hosting, database, authentication, security, analytics, email or text-message, and support providers acting for us. If you choose Google, Apple, Microsoft, or phone sign-in, information is exchanged with that provider to complete authentication.

When you deliberately create a share link, its study-set material, title, description, chosen username, and basic set details are visible to anyone who can access the link. Public links may be indexed by search engines; unlisted links are not offered for indexing but can still be forwarded. Group names, descriptions, membership roles, and shared sets are visible to group members. Your email is not presented as your public username.

When you subscribe or restore purchases, Apple App Store or Google Play processes the transaction and shares the limited purchase record needed to verify and synchronize your language access. Their handling of payment and store-account data is governed by their own privacy terms.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in a business transaction with appropriate safeguards, or at your direction. We do not sell Memorizee account information or disclose it for targeted advertising.

6. Storage, transfers, and retention

The Service and its providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries, where local authorities may lawfully access it. We retain account and learning information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the Service. Account and learning records are deleted through the account-deletion process, subject to the limited exceptions below. Personal card source files are removed after deterministic processing. You can delete a generated personal collection and its associated progress from My cards at any time. Security, fraud-prevention, transaction, tax, legal, and dispute records are retained only for the period reasonably necessary for those purposes or required by law. Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted backup history until that history expires or is overwritten and is not restored except for disaster recovery.

Product-journey events are retained only as long as reasonably needed for security, measurement, product decisions, and legal obligations, then deleted or aggregated. Disabling a share link removes public access through Memorizee; reports and limited evidence may be retained to address safety, rights, fraud, or legal issues. Former usernames and limited change or moderation records may remain reserved for up to 180 days, or longer when needed to prevent impersonation, enforce these Terms, or resolve a safety or legal issue. Account deletion removes the account's community identity, owned shares, group ownership and membership, referral records, and identifiable journey events, subject to legally required exceptions and temporary backup history.

7. Safeguards

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. These include encrypted network connections, encrypted managed storage, salted password hashing for password accounts, secure and restricted session cookies, request-origin checks, rate limits, input validation, protected production secrets, and server-side app-store purchase verification.

No online service can promise absolute security. Use a unique password, protect your devices and recovery methods, sign out from shared devices, and tell us promptly if you suspect misuse. Memorizee will assess suspected confidentiality incidents, keep required incident records, mitigate harm, and notify affected people and regulators when applicable law requires it.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal information, ask questions about its use and disclosure, withdraw consent where applicable, or request deletion. You can change learning settings or delete your Memorizee account in profile settings. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where law permits or requires it.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to obtain additional information about automated processing, portability, de-indexing, complaint review, or a decision concerning your request. Learning schedules are generated from your card activity and chosen settings; Memorizee does not use that scheduling to make legal, employment, credit, health, or similarly significant decisions about you.

Account deletion instructions are available on the Memorizee account-deletion page. Cancel any Apple or Google subscription separately before deleting; deleting a Memorizee account does not itself cancel store billing.

9. Children

The Service is intended for people who have reached the age of majority where they live. We do not knowingly create accounts for children through the general registration flow. People below the age permitted to consent for themselves must not create an account, publish a study set, join a group, or provide personal information without legally sufficient parent or guardian authorization. We do not knowingly permit public sharing by children under 13.

10. Updates and contact

We may update this Policy as the Service changes. Material changes will be brought to your attention and renewed consent will be sought where required. The effective date and version above identify the policy acknowledged for your account.
